AC50 Drive system

We are now selling 72-108 volt drive systems for  vehicles up to 3800 pounds. These AC systems offer more than twice the power of a similar DC system. The 550 amp Curtis controller has smooth regen braking and offers great acceleration and low end tourque. The system includes a brushless, maintenance free, motor and a programable controller. The system also includes a multi function digital gauge, and wire harness.

AC induction drive systems are now available for EV conversions. Compared to DC motors AC systems are typically more efficient and have the benefit of regenerative braking. This is a form of motor braking where energy is put back into the battery pack when the vehicle brakes or the driver lets off the accelerator. AC drive systems are quite new and there are a limited number of companies making them. As well as being very efficient AC motors are also brushless which means that they require no maintenance.
