Sailboat Kit - 15hp - Brushless AC Drive

Upgraded and improved!

Includes a 275A GEN4 Sevcon PMAC, programable regen controller.

Suitable for a sailboat up to 30 ft. long and12,000 lb displacement. All systems have reverse on-the-fly and contactor disable.

Brushless means no brushes to wear out, and no ingition source for on-board gas appliances. With a sized  3 blade prop spinning while under sail  you can charge your batteries! 

 Kit Includes:

- Mars Brushless Motor
-Controller: Sevcon 350A w/ regen
-Throttle: FNR slider and key on/off
-Contactor
-Complete wire harness and instructions.

This sailboat kit is for 36-48 volt systems, 50 rpm/Volt @ loaded speed

Note: Reduction unit not included. The photo show the drive unit we built for our 30 foot Catalina conversion. We chose to use dual belts and the frame is tig welded aluminum. We easily achieve hull speed with this reduction unit and a matched three blade prop.
